Dogs are known to be a “man’s best friend.”
With their boundless energy, unwavering loyalty, and infectious enthusiasm, dogs have been our companions for thousands of years. But beyond their wagging tails and playful barks, dogs offer much more than just cute faces, they teach us about unconditional love, responsibility, and joy.

The Emotional Bond Between Humans and Dogs
Dogs have an incredible ability to sense our emotions. Whether you’ve had a long, stressful day or you're celebrating a milestone, your dog will be right there, sharing your joy or providing quiet comfort. Studies have shown that being around dogs can reduce stress, anxiety, and even symptoms of depression.
Having a Dog
Owning a dog doesn’t just lift your mood; it can also improve your physical health. Regular walks mean consistent exercise, and studies show that dog owners tend to have lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Plus, having a dog encourages a more active lifestyle and helps establish healthy routines.

When we found out that our sweet golden retriever, Mochi, was pregnant, we were overjoyed and filled with excitement. The anticipation of how many puppies she would have brought so much joy to our home.
When the big day finally came, it was our first time assisting a dog during labor. It was a mix of nervousness and wonder as we watched nature take its course right before our eyes. Mochi was incredibly strong and brave throughout the process.

She successfully delivered six beautiful puppies. Sadly, one of them didn’t make it, a moment that brought both sadness and perspective to the experience. Despite the loss, we are deeply grateful for the safe delivery of the other six pups and the strength Mochi showed as a first-time mom.
It was a truly unforgettable experience that brought us closer not just to Mochi, but to the miracle of life itself. Sadly, a couple of days later, one of the pups passed away. It was heartbreaking, especially after the joy we felt during their birth. Though we mourn the loss, we are deeply thankful for the five healthy puppies that continue to grow each day under Mochi’s loving care.
Our home hasn’t been the same since. We’ve added new routines to care for the puppies and to support Mochi as she recovers and adjusts to being a mom. From early morning feedings to late-night check-ins, our days are now filled with the soft sounds of tiny paws, little whimpers, and Mochi’s gentle motherly instincts.
It’s a big adjustment, but one filled with warmth, love, and a new sense of purpose. Just a couple of days ago, we faced another heartbreaking loss — one more precious baby pup passed away. Despite our best efforts and love, nature had its own course.

Watching Mochi care for her babies and seeing the pups grow day by day has brought a different kind of joy into our lives, one we never knew we needed.
Dogs Teach Us Responsibility and Patience, raising a dog requires commitment. From training and feeding to vet visits and grooming, owning a dog teaches important life skills such as patience, time management, and empathy. These responsibilities often help children learn to care for others and understand the importance of compassion.
While Easter Sunday is known as a day of Resurrection and joy, ours took a heartbreaking turn. Our version of traditional 'Salubong' or joyful encounter, we found ourselves in a different kind of rush, rushing our 2-week-old pup to the vet just after the midnight earthquake at 12:20 AM. It was a night we’ll never forget, filled not with celebration, but with worry and prayer.
Two sleepless nights isn’t enough to save them, but I know we did our best. Maybe you weren’t meant to see the world, because you were destined to see the paradise of Heaven instead.
Dogs offer more than companionship, they bring love, laughter, and loyalty into our lives. Whether you're a long-time pet owner or considering bringing a dog into your home for the first time, one thing is clear: life is simply better with a dog by your side.
