Free Dutchmill at School

Image
This day KTMSCES's gym was crowded with pupils because of free sample of Dutchmill health drink. Before lunch they set-up their stall, and when the bell ring for lunch time, pupils starts to fall in line.  And the line is getting longer...  Of course my kids also fall in line and want to taste the yummy healthy kids drink. ,   They keep on asking for more and more Dutchmill yoghourt drinks.    No more Dutchmill and see no more pupils around =)  And after my kids have tried dutchmill, I asked them if they like the taste. Of course they do, just see how many cups they consume. =) As my daughter's classmate said, "it's all free! you don't need to pay". hehe Happy Monday Fellas! =) Disclosure: I received no compensation for this publication. Front Portion Back Portion I wasn't able to take photos in their school, but I'm so proud my daughter won in their Costume Contest.

DepEd New Education Grading System

DepEd will now use level of proficiency in grading system stated below. Instead of using numerical values, grades will be letters under new K+12 education program. A - Advanced (grade of 90% and above) P - Proficient (85%-89%) AP - Approaching Proficiency (80%-84%) D - Developing (75%-79%) B - Beginning (74% and below)   Parents will now see letters in the report cards of their child instead of numerical values. In which A is the highest as expected, but B is the lowest as abbreviated above. But teachers will still measure students' progress with numerical values, and their letter equivalents as seen above will be used in report cards. Students whose proficiency level is B will be required to take remedial classes after class hours. A student with consistent B in one subject could mean repeating only in that subject while he/she can be promoted to the next grade in all other subjects. The performance of student will still be assessed at four levels: ...

DepEd K-12 Program

Image
K+12 means Kinder plus 12 years Elementary and High School Education. Most of the parents don't like the k+12 program of DepEd especially those who can't afford to send their child for 2 more years in school. But our country is one of the 3 countries left in the world having a 10 year duration for Elementary and Secondary Education and the rest is in Africa. DepEd implemented K+12 basic education curriculum to improve education system starting this school year 2012-2013. The implementation of the K-12 program is "phased". The first phase of the implementation will start on SY 2012-2013. During this school year, universal kindergarten will be finally offered, and will now be a part of the compulsory education system; and a new curriculum for Grade 1 and Grade 7 students would be introduced. By SY 2016-2017, Grade 11/Year 5 will be introduced, and Grade 12/Year 6 by SY 2017-2018; with the phased implementation of the new curriculum finished by the SY 2017-2018. ...
